Eurostat: Euro zone inflation cooled to 1.7% in January

Al netto di energia, alimentari, alcol e tabacco, l'inflazione annua si è attestata al 2,2%, rispetto al 2,3% di dicembre

EU/ENG - Euro area annual inflation is expected to be 1.7% in January 2026, down from 2.0% in December according to a flash estimate from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.

Looking at the main components of euro area inflation, services is expected to have the highest annual rate in January (3.2%, compared with 3.4% in December), followed by food, alcohol & tobacco (2.7%, compared with 2.5% in December), non-energy industrial goods (0.4%, compared with 0.3% in December) and energy (-4.1%, compared with -1.9% in December).

EU/ITA - A gennaio, l'inflazione dell'eurozona è scesa all'1,7% a gennaio, secondo le stime preliminari pubblicate da Eurostat, è quindi in calo rispetto al 2% registrato a dicembre. I prezzi al consumo sono diminuiti dello 0,5% su base annuale. Al netto di energia, alimentari, alcol e tabacco, l'inflazione annua si è attestata al 2,2%, rispetto al 2,3% di dicembre. L'inflazione core è diminuita, su base menisile, dell'1,1%. Inoltre, i prezzi alla produzione industriale sono scesi dello 0,3% su base mensile a dicembre, dopo il rialzo dello 0,7% registrato nel mese precedente, secondo i dati pubblicati da Eurostat.

Le prospettive economiche, comprese le stime della Banca centrale europea, prevedono una crescita dell'1,2% nel 2026 e un calo dell'inflazione all'1,9%, fattori che supportano il mantenimento di un tasso di politica monetaria neutrale nell'eurozona.
