Eurostat: tenuta della crescita ma nuovo record dell'inflazione nell'Eurozona

Nel secondo trimestre 2022, rispetto al primo trimestre, il Pil è aumentato dello 0,7%. prezzi al consumo sono saliti dell'8,9% a luglio.

Sono state diffuse le stime flash di Eurostat su Pil e inflazione di fine luglio.

Nel secondo trimestre 2022, rispetto al primo trimestre, il Pil è aumentato dello 0,7% nell'Eurozona e dello 0,6% nell'Ue nel suo insieme. I prezzi a giugno crescono dell'8,9% nella zona euro. Spinti ancora una volta dall'impennata dei costi alimentari ed energetici, i prezzi al consumo sono saliti dell'8,9% a luglio rispetto all'anno precedente e all'8,6% di giugno. Si tratta di un nuovo record storico da quando viene calcolato il dato aggregato per l'area euro. 

In un tweet il commissario europeo per l'Economia, Paolo Gentiloni ha commentato."Crescita dell'Eurozona dello 0,7% nel secondo trimestre. Meglio del previsto. Bene in particolare Italia e Spagna. Non siamo in recessione, ma resta l'incertezza per i prossimi mesi e l'inflazione si mantiene a livelli record". aggiungendo "La crescita oltre le attese è una "buona notizia".

Nel primo trimestre del 2022 il Pil era cresciuto dello 0,5% nell'area euro e dello 0,6% nell'Ue.

La Svezia (+1,4%) ha registrato l'aumento più elevato, seguita da Spagna (+1,1%) e Italia (+1%) con la Germania in stagnazione (+0%) e la Francia a +0,5%.

I cali maggiori sono in Lettonia (-1,4%), Lituania (-0,4%) e Portogallo (-0,2%).
