EN - The Eurogroup was held in Brussels on Monday 9 December. In an inclusive format, the assembly of eurozone finance ministers took stock of the international economic dialogue with the United Kingdom, represented by the Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves, who was present at the meeting. There was good agreement on shared values and perspectives on the important issues at this historic juncture.
On the rule of law and international order, European ministers acknowledged the important contribution that the United Kingdom is making to supporting the Ukrainian people, to supporting the cause of democracy and European security.
The meeting then moved on to the shared areas on which we are working together from a political perspective. In the European Union as in the United Kingdom, we are envisaging new budgetary frameworks, which seek to secure the public finances of the eurozone and create the capacity to invest. Better management and a profitable use of private capital will be necessary. Just as intensive work is being done on new energy policies to move towards a greener and more secure future, as Pascal Donohoe said.
The new Commission was represented by Commissioner Dombrovskis, with whom ministers discussed macroeconomic developments and policy coordination in the euro area, including the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Article IV mission in the euro area, the assessment of the draft budgetary plans of the euro area Member States, and the budgetary situation and outlook in the euro area. Finally, preparations for the Eurogroup President's dialogue with the Parliament will also be discussed.
IT - Si è tenuto, lunedi 9 dicembre a Bruxelles, l'Eurogruppo. In formato inclusivo, il consesso di ministri delle finanze dell'eurozona ha fatto il punto del dialogo economico internazionale con il Regno Unito, nella persona della Cancelliere dello Scacchiere Rachel Reeves, presente ai lavori. Si è registrata una buona intesa su valori e prospettive condivise sulle questioni importanti in questa congiuntura storica.
In merito allo Stato di diritto e all'ordine internazionale, i ministri europei hanno riconosciuto l'importante contributo che il Regno Unito sta dando al sostegno del popolo ucraino, al sostegno della causa della democrazia e della sicurezza europea.
Si è poi passati alle aree condivise su cui si sta lavorando insieme da una prospettiva politica. Nell'Unione Europea come nel Regno Unito, stiamo sono in via di previsione nuovi quadri di bilancio, che cercano di rendere sicure le finanze pubbliche dell'eurozona e creare la capacità di investire. Una migliore gestione e un proficuo utilizzo del capitale privato si renderà necessario. Così come si sta lavorando intensamente a nuove politiche energetiche per passare a un futuro più verde e sicuro, come ha dichiarato Pascal Donohoe.
La nuova Commissione è stata rappresentata dal Commissario Dombrovskis, insieme al quale i ministri hanno discusso degli sviluppi macroeconomici e del coordinamento delle politiche nella zona euro, compresa la missione del Fondo monetario internazionale (FMI) a norma dell'articolo IV nella zona euro, della valutazione dei documenti programmatici di bilancio degli Stati membri della zona euro, e della situazione e delle prospettive di bilancio nella zona euro. Si è infine discuterà anche della preparazione del dialogo del presidente dell'Eurogruppo con il Parlamento.
