The EU Commission will raise duties on electric cars produced in China imported into the EU

La Commissione conta di innalzare dal 10 al 27%, i dazi sulle auto prodotte in Cina che sbarcano nell'UE

EU/EN - Imports of cars produced in China into the European Union increased by 14% on an annual basis. European manufacturers are concerned about the volumes arriving to the detriment of competition with their products. And it is precisely on Chinese electric cars that the European Commission is completing the investigation into Chinese state aid to manufacturers, which began in October 2023, to be concluded in 13 months and provisional sanctions after just 9 months. It is a matter of months, with duties scheduled for July 2024. Sufficient evidence has now been collected on subsidies - for the European market - to manufacturers. The imposition of duties on cars produced in China is envisaged. Specifically, the European executive will structure a customs registration system for Chinese electric cars arriving in the European Union in recent months to retroactively impose the duties applied in July. The President of the Commission had anticipated the investigation into Chinese state subsidies in September 2023 in her State of the Union address. Currently, cars produced in China and exported to the European Union are subject to a 10% duty, which the Commission plans to raise to 27%, as is already the case in the United States.

 

ITA - Le importazioni nell'Unione europea di auto prodotte in Cina sono aumentate del 14% su base annua. I produttori europei manifestano preoccupazione per i volumi in arrivo a danno della concorrenza con i loro prodotti. Ed è proprio sulle auto elettriche cinesi che la Commissione Europea sta ultimando l’indagine sugli aiuti di stato della Cina ai produttori, partita a ottobre 2023, da  concludersi in 13 mesi e sanzioni provvisorie già dopo 9 mesi. E' questione di mesi, essendo i dazi previsti per il mese di luglio del 2024.  Sono state raccolte ormai prove sufficienti sulle sovvenzioni - per il mercato europeo - ai produttori. Si prefigura l'imposizione di dazi sulle auto prodotte in Cina. In concreto, l'esecutivo europeo strutturerà un sistema di registrazione doganale delle autovetture elettriche cinesi giunte nell'Unione europea negli ultimi mesi per imporre retroattivamente i dazi applicati a luglio La presidente della Commissione aveva anticipato nel settembre 2023 l'indagine sui sussidi statali della Cina nel discorso sullo stato dell'Unione . 

Attualmente, sulle auto prodotte in Cina ed esportate nell'Unione europea grava un dazio del 10% che la Commissione conta di innalzare al 27%, come già avviene negli Stati Uniti.
