On the agenda are the impact of the conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza, as well as relations with Africa, migration and the regulation of Artificial Intelligence

EU/EN - The G7 presidency returns to Europe. The Italian government will be responsible for promoting dialogue between the seven most developed countries after Japan in 2023 tried not to force the issue on the tables of the global forum. The developments and impact of the conflict in Ukraine, as well as the conflict between Israel and Gaza, are still on the agenda. The security of energy supplies and trade routes are the issues imposed by the current events of recent weeks. The topics to be debated regarding Africa, artificial intelligence and migration will be more prospective in nature.

After the handover on 5 February in Tokyo between the heads of government of Italy and Japan, the first appointment will be the meeting of the foreign ministers in Capri, which will take place from 17 to 19 April. From 23 to 26 May the Ministers of Economy will meet in Puglia, in the Itria Valley, in Borgo Egnazia, the same location chosen by the Italian rotating presidency also for the most important summit, from 13 to 15 June between the heads of state and government.
