Il nuovo vicepresidente del Parlamento europeo è Marc Angel

Deputato del gruppo dei Socialisti e Democratici (S&D), Angel ha prevalso al secondo turno su Tardino e Delbos-Corfield

E' stato eletto come nuovo vicepresidente del Parlamento europeo al posto di Eva Kaili. Nel corso della mattinata del 18 gennaio, mercoledi di plenaria, 307 parlamentari europei hanno votato, al secondo turno rispetto ai 296 necessari, Il lussemburghese Marc Angel.

Deputato del gruppo dei Socialisti e Democratici (S&D), Angel ha prevalso rispetto alla parlamentare italiana Annalisa Tardino (Lega) con 185 voti e i 95 della francese di Gwendoline Delbos-Corfield (Verdi/Ale), su un totale di 645 votanti, di cui 55 astenuti.
