EU/ENG - The new Presidential Council was inaugurated on October 25th in Naples during the 66th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Italian Economic Society.

Professor Roberto Cellini of the University of Catania takes office as President (2025-2028). There are two Vice-Presidents: Professors Valeria Costantini of the University of Rome III and Simona Iammarino of the University of Cagliari. The new Secretary General is Professor Alberto Russo of the Polytechnic University of Marche. The five advisors are: Luigi Aldieri (University of Salerno), Federico Boffa (University of Bolzano), Giuseppe Travaglini (University of Urbino), Stefano Usai (University of Cagliari), and Marco Vivarelli (Catholic University of Milan).

Roberto Cellini ( Bologna, 1965), is Professor of Economics at the University of Catania (Italy), and Director of the Department of Economics. He held permanent positions at the University of Bologna (Researcher and Lecturer, 1992-98) and at the University of Catania (Associate Professor, 1998-2002). Over the past years, he held temporary or visiting positions at different overseas universities (e.g., University "Johannes Kepler" in Linz , Hohenheim in Stuttgart, UCL London) . The main fields of research are the theoretical and econometric problems of economic growth, game theory (in particular, differential games) and industrial organisation.

 

EU/ITA - Si è insediato il 25 ottobre a Napoli nel corso della 66ma Riunione Scientifica Annuale della Società Italiana di Economia il nuovo Consiglio di Presidenza.

Entra in carica come Presidente per il triennio 2025-2028, il professor Roberto Cellini dell'Università di Catania. Due sono le vicepresidenti: le professoresse Valeria Costantini dell'Università Roma 3 e Simona Iammarino dell'Università di Cagliari. Il nuovo segretario generale è il professor Alberto Russo dell'Università Politecnica delle Marche. I consiglieri sono i cinque professori: Luigi Aldieri (Università Salerno), Federico Boffa (Università di Bolzano), Giuseppe Travaglini (Università di Urbino), Stefano Usai (Università di Cagliari) e Marco Vivarelli (Università Cattolica di Milano).

Il professor Cellini ha ricoperto il ruolo di vicepresidente uscente della Sie nel triennio 2022-2025 e in precedenza ha ricoperto il ruolo di Segretario senerale (2013-16) e di consigliere (2010-13). È stato anche Direttore responsabile della rivista scientifica della SIE, Italian Economic Journal, pubblicata da Springer.
