EN - At the end of the Paris Olympics, Macron congratulated the organizers who they foresee positive impacts of up to 11.14 billion euros against an expense of 8.8 billion euros.

The French Central Bank (Banque de France) expects "a significant increase" in the country's gross domestic product in the third quarter, which could rise by almost 0.5% thanks to the positive effect of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. After growing by 0.3% in the second quarter, economic activity should increase by between 0.1% and 0.2% between July and September. To this, the central bank specifies in its monthly economic survey, there would be added the "transitory impact" of the Games "of the order of a quarter of a point", or 0.25%.
