EU Funds: one-year extension for 2014-2020 final reports

Proroga per le relazioni di chiusura 2014-2020. La scadenza rinviata al 31 luglio 2025

EU/ENG - The final deadline for EU member states and their regional administrations to submit the 2014-2020 closure documents and final payment requests has been extended by the European Commission to July 31, 2025, while the end-2023 deadline for completing the expenditure of all available resources remains unchanged.

The one-year extension for submissions was also announced on Twitter on June 21 by European Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms Elisa Ferreira.

The changes, she continued, "will focus on less developed and transition regions, and on developed regions in Member States with a GDP below 100% of the European GDP, to ensure a level playing field and promote convergence." Furthermore, investments in strategic sectors will benefit from a 30% pre-financing and 100% co-financing to ensure rapid project implementation.
